PARKLAND, FL – Clarice Mosely Hathaway, 95, passed away, with her family by her side, Sunday, July 28, 2013, after a short illness, at the University Hospital of Tamarac, FL.
For the past 13 years she has resided in Parkland, FL with her youngest son, Aaron, and his wife, Madelyn, where she attended Church-by-the-Glades in Coral Springs, FL. She formerly resided in Savannah for many years and worked at Union Camp Paper Corporation and was a member of Savannah First Seventh Day Adventist Church of Pooler, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Sylvester Hathaway, her eldest son, Ronald Hathaway, of Bloomingdale, GA, three brothers, Clarence Mosely, Marvin Mosely, and Elvin Mosely, and a sister, Catherine Jeffers.
She is survived by her beloved son, Aaron, and daughter-in-law, Madelyn, of Parkland, FL; her daughter-in-law, JoAnn Hathaway, of Bloomingdale, GA; six grandchildren, Angela Johnson of Melborne, FL, Derrell Hathaway Lisa of Waxhaw, NC, Tonya Hathaway of Guyton, GA, Tammy Hathaway of Pooler, GA, Amanda Sublette Clint of Tampa, FL, and Alicia Gonzales Jose of Coral Gables, FL; eleven great-grandchildren, Mathew Machin, Corley Hathaway, Peter Machin, Jr., Lisa Hathaway, Danielle Hathaway, Zackery Hathaway, Noel Sublette, Lucas Gonzales, Payten Sublette, Valentina Gonzales, and Hunter Sublette. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Mosely Shirley of Tybee Island, GA and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2013, at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
